The owners of these bookstores make their own decisions on what books they buy and place on their bookshelf and for seeing if they will place your book on consignment.
All Independent bookstores can buy any book from publishers / wholesalers / distribution centers to place on their bookshelf for their customers to buy, or they can order that book
for the customer and the customer can walk in and pick up their book.
